FTFC Vets manager Mike van de Mortel has informed the club that he will not be continuing in his role after season 2022/23. With a new family arrival imminent and changes to his professional commitments, he has had to make this difficult decision. The club would like to thank VDM for his time and commitment in running the side over these two seasons, which saw the side resurrected and winning the uhlsport Hellenic Division 1 title at the first time of asking last season. It is hoped Mike will continue playing when available for the new management team.
Therefore, FTFC are looking for someone to take over the role. VDM has offered to mentor any likely candidates remaining games of this season to help with the transition. This season has seen the side challenging in the top half of the uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division table, with games still to be played for a runners-up position. The commitment required is to select and manage the Over 35’s for midweek fixtures, with home games taking place at Clanfield (85) FC. The club will fully support any management individual or team that wishes to take on the squad, with kit sponsorship and financial funding.
