The Uhlsport Hellenic Football League have today announces their monthly Team of the Month Divisional Awards for November 2019. These results are calculated by the League Office, based upon matches played throughout the month, minus deductions for on-field discipline (e.g. Yellow and Red cards etc.) sanctions.
Town went through the pre-season upheaval of a management change, which saw a number of new players bedding in over the opening games of the season. Recent results have started picking up, along with consistent performances, with the overall quality of the squad being improved.
The month of November saw Town pick up two league victories over Kintbury Rangers Reserves (2-1), Newent Town Reserves (4-1), a Chairman’s Challenge Cup victory on penalties over Letcombe FC (1-1 AET, 3-0 pens), however, we did lose the league fixture 1-0 shortly afterwards. Whilst Town have not finished top for Division 2 North, South and West, we have finished third from a possible thirty-nine teams across the three divisions, so a major achievement and something the whole squad can build upon.
