Top of the table, The Don will be hoping to keep the pressure on the chasing clubs below them as they welcome Pewsey Vale Development to Tucker Park on Saturday in their final fixture until 2024. The Don are currently eight points clear of the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League (thefa.com) Division One after a hard-fought 3-1 away victory over Stratton Juniors last weekend when goals from Jamie Broadfield, Matt Pill and Kyle Bowyer secured the three points. Kick-off at Tucker Park is 14:00.
Pewsey Vale Devs currently sit in seventh position in the league, however they have completed more fixtures than anyone else in the table. From their fifteen league ties, they have managed to collect twenty points from six victories, two draws and seven defeats, scoring twenty-five and conceding forty-one goals. Five of those goals came in the reverse fixture when The Don blew away their hosts in the opening twenty-five minutes of the game as we raced to a 4-0 lead through two Jamie Broadfield strikes, further goals from Harry Timbrell and Jamie Tuck before Adam Rudman completed the scoring in the final ten minutes.
Vale Devs have so far named forty-five players in their matchday squads through the season, so it may be hard to determine who will make the journey to SN7. What we do know from the away tie is that the side never gives up and they will fight to final whistle. Their top goalscorer is Israel Onibudo with four goals from twelve appearances, with a number of other players currently on three goals.

Town Devs will be hoping to have a game before the Christmas and New Year break. follow their tie at Tucker Park last Saturday falling foul to the wet weather. This weekend they make the trip into Witney to face Witney Royals Reserves in the Hartwell Witney & District Football League Division Two. Town with twenty-one points from eleven games are currently in fourth position and want to come home with the three points to ensure they go into the festive period in touch with the top three clubs. Royals Reserves are currently in eighth position with ten points from their ten league games, with three wins, a draw and six defeats. As yet, they have not picked up three points at home, so Town will be hoping to ensure they are not the side to fall at this hurdle. Royals have scored just fourteen goals from those ten games and conceded forty-three. Their main goal threat has been the experienced centre half Ian Barrett who has grabbed three goals in nine fixtures.

Ben Stratford’s A Team will also be looking to get some minutes under their belts before the Turkey makes an appearance as they also travel to Witney to face Hartwell Witney & District Football League Division Three promotion chasers Tower Hill Reserves. The tie is being played at the West Witney Sports Ground (Directions Faringdon to West Witney Sports & Social Club – Google Maps) with kick off at 14:00.
The two sides met at Tucker Park in September when Tower took all three points despite Sean Cato’s goal for the A’s. Tower are currently in fifth position on eighteen points from nine Division Three fixtures having gained six victories and three defeats. They are just four points off the two promotion places with a minimum game in hand on those above them. Town in eleventh will be hoping to spring a surprise and make their festive period a joyful one.
