Faringdon Town FC is pleased to confirm the following changes to our senior football management team, following the resignation of Chris Benson from the First Team managers role.
Head of Senior Football
Martin Harries – Martin has held numerous management roles and was also Club Secretary for a number of years with the club and has agreed to oversee the Senior Teams providing a clear focus and support for the Senior management teams and players. He will work alongside our Head of Youth Football, Adam Bradley and both will oversee the clubs new 5-year plan for each section (to be announced shortly!) and provide closer links between the Youth and Senior sides.
First Team Manager
Chris Homer – Chris joined in the summer, initially as A-Team manager and has shown a real desire within the club to move things forward on and off the pitch. He has overseen an unbeaten start to the A-Team’s season and has worked with the First Team squad during pre-season. Chris has agreed to step up to the First Team managers position for the rest of the season. Chris will also operate as Commercial Manager for the club.
First Team Coach
Jon Mann – Jon is another new face to the club and currently holds a FA Level 2 coaching badge. He is set to begin his UEFA B training alongside coaching at FTFC. Jon is recently married and also runs Covingham Eagles under 11’s in Swindon on Sunday’s. Matchdays will see Jon work alongside Chris with the First Team, however, his coaching skills will be imparted on all of the Senior sides through the season.
A Team Manager
Josh Williams – Josh will replace Chris as A-Team manager after moving to the club from local North Berks side, Uffington FC. Josh is looking forward to being part of the club and see’s great potential in the currently unbeaten Witney & District Division 3 side. Josh is also Assistant Manager at Shrivenham FC under 16’s on Sunday.
B Team Manager
Ben Stratford – Ben will continue to run the B-Team in Witney & District Division 4. Ben has been with the club for a couple of seasons initially as a player, before jointly running the side last season. Ben has fully bought into the club and is doing an excellent job with the B’s.
