Match Report: Faringdon Town v Shrivenham Reserves –
After our great performance Monday, Town were looking for back to back wins for the first time in a while, but it wasn’t to be!
We started the first 20 minutes really sharply, creating a number of decent chances that we didn’t take. A couple of headers that could have been better. Decision making with the final ball would have resulted in goals but wrong decisions were made. However we did take the lead through Chris Wills. He made a diagonal run across the back 4 that was picked out superbly by Will Bazen. He got there just before the keeper and managed to squeeze it past him. 1-0 up. For some reason we seemed to stop playing and allowed Shrivenham to get into the game. A few more half chances came and went and it was looking like one of those games.
Half Time: Faringdon Town 1-0 Shrivenham Reserves
At half time we spoke about getting that next goal and pushing on. Unfortunately we just didn’t seem to come out of the changing rooms, the half carried on the way the first finished with us allowing Shrivenham to get on the ball and play. With ten minutes left Shrivy got their equaliser with a great goal bending into the top corner, Justin Yates having no chance.
We huffed and puffed to get back in front but it just wasn’t to be. Slightly disappointing considering Mondays result, but at the same time still another point to our total.
Final Score: Faringdon Town 1-1 Shrivenham Reserves
Felt we could have won the game convincingly if we had been clinical with our chances, especially first 20 mins. However it was another hard thought game where we have taken something, last year we would have potentially lost that game. 4 points in a week, nice feeling.

It was a little foggy!
