FTFC 1st Team v Park United – Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League Division One – KO 15:00

Following a weekend off last Saturday for the First Team squad to celebrate midfielder Will Bazen’s wedding, the squad travelled to Carterton FC on Tuesday night for a welcomed friendly, to get minutes into the squads’ legs ready for this top-of-the-table clash with inform Park Utd. Thank you to them for their hospitality and competitive fixture.

Town has started the season with a 100% record and are the team that the rest of the division will be looking to shoot down. In our last league fixture, Town defeated Shrivenham FC Devs 4-1 with goals from Sly, Forth, Tuck and Hares, a result almost matched by our visitors who defeated the SN6 lads 3-1 last Saturday. The match-up also sees the meanest defences in the division (Town 5 goals, Park 9 goals), so a tight game is anticipated. United are currently two points behind Town in second position with seven victories, one draw and one defeat, however, we do have a game in hand. Park are certainly spreading the goals amongst the squad this season with no less than fifteen goal scorers so far, however, Lewis McCarron & Jamie Norman top the scoring charts for the club with six goals each from eight appearances.

The Town squad is stretched this weekend with no less than six players unavailable, including the influential Jamie Tuck and defender Ray Lovell. However, it does give the lads who are available a chance to wear the Town shirt and put in a performance to keep the shirt for future fixtures:

The Don Squad:
Adam Sly
Harry Platt
Harry Timbrell
Jack Gibson
Jamie Broadfield
Josh Forth
Kyle Bowyer
Liam Hares
Luke Davenport
Matt Pill
Pete Fletcher
Ronnie Platt
Sam Leech
Will Bazen

FC Mills v FTFC Development – Witney & District Football League Division Two – KO 14:00

The Development squad will be looking to bounce back after last weekend’s disappointing performance and home 3-1 defeat to Leafield FC. This Saturday they travel to West Witney Sports Ground to play 5th placed FC Mills who are two points behind Town in 2nd. Mills drew 2-2 last Saturday with Yarnton A, so a tight game is anticipated.

Spartan Rangers Reserves v FTFC A Team – Witney & District Football League Division Three – KO 14:00

12th-placed Town A will be hoping to build on last weekend’s battling 1-1 draw with Kingham All Blacks Reserves and climb up the table when they travel to 9th-positioned Spartan Rangers Reserves. A win for Town would see them climb above their hosts, who have played a game more with one victory, one draw and two defeats which included a heavy 7-1 loss to Deer Park Rangers last time out.
