No home game for the Faringdon faithful this week. 1st Team have the day off, Reserves travel to Blewbury with the A-Team making the trip to Marcham Reserves.
The Reserves are still sit pointless at the foot of the Div 2 table. Their wins this season have came in the cup competions. Last time beating local rivals Uffington 5-1 in the War Memorial Trophy. Andy Tranters men pushed Watlington Res all the way in their last league appearance, finally losing 4-3. The 2 teams have already met this season, with the Ressers going close to gaining points, but lost 3-2 in a tight game. The Reserves have a knack of finding the back of the net, having scored in their last 7 games, however they can’t seem to keep a clean sheet themselves at the moment.
The A-Team, hit the road for the fourth game in a row. This weeks opponents Marcham Res, sit 1 place above having played 2 more game than the A’s. Dan Pughs lads will be trying to make 3 wins in a row, after beating Steventon Res and Ardington Res in their last 2 matches. Jason Evans keeps adding to his goal tally and now has 8 from 6 games.
