Faringdon Town FC Weekend Preview

Faringdon Town are in County Cup action at Tucker Park. No game for Reserves or A-Team this week.
Didcot Town Reserves visit Tucker Park on Saturday for a B&B Senior Trophy Cup tie. The visitors sit mid-table in Hellenic Div One East, with 2 wins, 2 defeats and a draw from their first 5 games of the season. The two teams also meet at the same stage last year, with Didcot running out 3-1 winners.
Faringdon have had a great start to the season winning all four games and conceding just a single goal so far this season. This will, however, be a much sterner test for the Don. Didcot have been in the goals scoring 12 in 5, with Thomas Hoskin on 4 from 2 starts. Last week they gained a point at Bicester Town.
The Don have also scored 12 goals this season (from 4 games), with Richard Evans getting 5 off them. Hopefully last weeks hard fought win over local rivals Shrivenham Res will prove good preparation for this Cup Tie.
Faringdon manager Darryl Curtis has a full squad to available to him for selection. Competition for places is proving a real boast for the team this season. Confidence is high within the team and being underdogs for the tie against higher ranked opposition have every to play for and nothing to lose.
Our head of Youth Development Adam Bradley is assistant manager for Didcot, this is one time we’ll be happy to see him leave Tucker Park without a win!
