First game for almost a month and with it being a local derby against undefeated Clanfield (85) it was always likely to be a tough match.
Clanfield opened the scoring with some neat intricate passing, although FTFC will be disappointed that the passing wasn’t cut out in the penalty box. Clanfield looked to have the edge but FTFC did create their own chances, they just weren’t able to find a way round the opposition keeper.
The second half started in a very similar fashion. Clanfield doubled their lead when a free-kick from out wide was missed by the FTFC defence and fell to the opposition striker to force the ball into the net.
The game was effectively all over a few minutes later when FTFC were reduced to ten following the dismissal of Dan (Jacob). The team worked their socks off for the rest of the game and managed to keep the score to two, even creating a few more chances of their own to keep the game interesting.
