Final game before the league is split and an emphatic win for FTFC with a second half hat-trick and the goal of the season to finish it off.
FTFC were dominant throughout and from the start it was by how many rather than could they win. The first goal was scored from the penalty spot. Josh made a good run down the left but his cross into the box was handled. Joe (Summers) scored the resultant spot kick. More chances followed but only one more was taken before half-time when Sam finished neatly to double the lead.
FTFC made five substitutions at half-time but this did not disrupt their play. FTFC stretched the lead with a solo effort from Jack (Traynor). Jack and Charlie then combined to set-up Jack’s second of the afternoon with a lob over the advancing keeper. Jack completed his fourth hat-trick of the season by rounding the keeper and slotting home.
But the best was saved to last….with time running out a cross into the box was met by Frankie with a stunning scissor kick volley that rifled into the back of net. Having a run out from between the sticks Frankie grabbed what must be the goal of the season!
The division is now split into the Premier and the Championship. FTFC with their fifth place finish qualified for the Premier league.
