The Don are pleased to confirm the short term loan signing of 2022/2023 FA Vase winner Louis Bouwers from Southern League Division One Central side Flackwell Heath FC.
Bouwers came through The Don youth system and made his debut for the clubs 1st Team at 16 year old, showing his immense talent and determination. Louis played regularly through our initial Hellenic League Division Two campaigns, before his work career took him into Berkshire and London.
Ascot United FC was his destination on the pitch and he became something of a Yellas club legend, leading the club as captain through their Hellenic League stint, winning the Combined Counties League and then the ultimate accolade of lifting the FA Vase trophy at Wembley, making over 200 appearances across 6 and half years.
Following a short period with Chertsey Town, Bouwers moved to Flackwell Heath FC in season 2023/2024 being part of the squad which achieved promotion to the Southern League.
Louis has struggled with injury so far this season, with minutes being limited, however to assist with his return to Flackwell Heath action, he has returned to his hometown club to gain valuable minutes on-loan, whilst also bolstering Danial Knight’s squads hopes of rising up the table in the weeks ahead and will be involved in Saturday’s squad at Park United.
