Faringdon Town Football Club – Weekend Preview
First team in action at Tucker Park v Highworth Town Reserves. FTFC U13s in cup final action v Didcot Town Youth White on Sunday.
The only senior fixture this weekend sees The First Team take on local rivals Highworth Town Reserves at Tucker Park. The Don come into the game on the back of two big defeats. 9-0 to Bourton Rovers last week and an 8-1 lose to Oxford City Nomads prior to that. The Firsts put in arguably their best performance of the season when they defeat Highworth 4-1 in the reverse fixture back in November. Recent form shows this as another difficult game for the Don, but home advantage and a full squad, will give some hope of an improved performance this week. (home 3.00pm KO)
Reserves and A-Team are both back in action next week.
FTFC Youth Section
Its a big weekend for our U13’s. They’ve reached the Trophy Final, its being played at Oxford City on Sunday with a 12.00 noon KO. If you’re able to go and support the boys, I know they’d appreciate seeing lots of Faringdon faces, cheering them on. Good luck to Chris, Matty and all the boys. #comeonthedon
