The Blues set out their stall this morning against Radley by working together as a team and backing each other up with every tackle. After having an early attempt scrambled off the goal line, Josh D took control of a busy goal mouth and buried the ball in the back of the net.
Faringdon Town take on Wantage Town Dev at Tucker Park on Saturday (3 pm KO). New to the league this season Wantage have started well, with 3 wins from 3 in the league. Scoring eleven and conceding 3 in the process. Luke Ballard, Richie Claydon & Keiron Kerby are on 3 goals apiece in both league & cup. Knowing that the Blues were up against the top team in our league, we set up in a confident and disciplined lineup. From the whistle the Blues maintained great pressure, pinning Wantage in their half. Unfortunately, they took advantage of 2 quick breaks and scored 2 goals. From the sidelines, we could only place our heads in our hands as Wantage miraculously cleared off their goal line 3 times.

To raise funds to for our Youth Teams we are holding a Bingo Night on Friday 21st September at the clubhouse 7.30pm start. All Welcome, members, non-members, parents & children. There will be prizes and the last game will have a CASH prize!!!
After last weekends wash-out, our three seniors teams are back in action. The 1st Team travel to Tytherington Rocks for a Bluefin Supplementary Cup tie. Reserves in league action at Tucker Park against Sutton Courtenay, with the A-Team also at home versus Steventon Reserves.
