Match Report – Faringdon Town v Bourton Rovers
After the previous game, we knew we needed to up it, some fresh faces in the squad and a good atmosphere meant for a good game.

Apologies for recent weeks match reports, the game against Brimscombe was abandoned after 60 minutes due to a real bad injury to Elliott Day. The next game was a cup game away to Wantage where Town was the better side for first 30 minutes but came out the game losing 5-0. Last week Town’s game was called off due to Abingdon Town not being able to field a team.
After the tough midweek fixture against Thatcham Development, Town faced an unbeaten Wantage. We were keen to give a good account of ourselves and cause an upset.
Faringdon Town take on Wantage Town Dev at Tucker Park on Saturday (3 pm KO). New to the league this season Wantage have started well, with 3 wins from 3 in the league. Scoring eleven and conceding 3 in the process. Luke Ballard, Richie Claydon & Keiron Kerby are on 3 goals apiece in both league & cup. They managed 6 in their last outing against Clanfield 85 Dev. #comeonthedon
A midweek cup game away at Thatcham town for us this week. We seemed in good spirits and keen to get stuck in. We started well, looked sharp and organised but knew we were playing a good young, fit side. In the first ten minutes Thatcham started to get on the ball more than us and created their first chance, a ball slipped through for the striker, he rounded the keeper but his shot was saved comfortably off the line by Will Oglesby.
Town made the tough journey to top of the table Moreton after our last 3 games Town felt we had nothing to fear.
