Faringdon Town start a run a 3 consecutive homes games with a Chairmans Challenge Cup tie against Div 2 West team Stokenchurch. The visitors sit 5th in the league on 13 point, with a record of 4 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats. They’ve not be prolific infront of goal scroring 12 in 8 league and cup games. Graham Berry tops the list with 4 from 5 appearances. Stokenchurch’s last game was a 1-0 victory over the current Div 2 West leaders Abingdon Town.

The Don have lost their early season momentum over recent weeks, with hard fought but ultimatley disappointing loses in the league to Caterton and Newent Town and a 1-1 draw versus Brimscombe & Thrupp Res. The team show great spirit every game, so with manager Daryll Curtis forcing home his mantra of shape, discipline and workrate, it won’t be long befire they’re back to winning ways.

Its an early kick-off, 1.30pm so make sure you get up to Tucker Park to cheer the boys on.

The Reserves who are yet to taste victory in the league travel to Wallingford Town Res. (2pm KO). Wallingford sit mid-table on 6 points and have been finding the back of the net freely over recent weeks. A 9-2 victory over Saxton Rovers Res last week, backed up 7-0 and 5-0 wins. Charlie Silkstone is top scorer with 8 from 5 starts.
