Faringdon Town are back in action at Tucker Park after a week off, no game for the Reserves, A-Team away to Watlington Reserves in the NBFL League Cup.

Faringdon Town welcome Brimscombe & Thrupp Res to Tucker Park for a Hellenic Div 2 West clash (3pm kick-off). A free week and 2 cup matches has seen the Don slip to 6th position in in the league, but now have games in hand over all the teams infront of them. Brimscombe sit one place below on goal difference have played 2 more games, with a record of played 8 won 4, lost 3 and drawn 1. The visitors won 4-0 over Easington Sports last time out.

James Piatex heads the list of goal scorers for Brimscombe with 8 from 9 starts. Towns goals have been spread throughout the team with Rich Evans on 6 from 7 apperances (3 starts), along side 9 others that have also hit the back of the net. Towns success this season has been based on good shape, dicsipline and a great team spirit along with some strong defensive performances. After a free week to recharge the squads batteries and get over some minor niggles, the Don will be looking to get back to winning ways in the league.

Faringdon Town A-Team travel to Watlington Reserves for an NBFL League Cup (1st Round). The teams have already meet once already this season with the A’s winning a very competitive game 3-2 at Tucker Park. Watlington also lost last week to Cumnor Minors U21s 4-3. Fraser Wilson top socres with 4 from 6 games. Jason Evans leads the ways for the A’s.

No game for the Reserves this week. Half-term also means no games for the FTFC Youth Section.
