WEEKEND PREVIEW – 12/11/16

Weekend Preview – 12/11/16 –

Faringdon Town welcome Moreton Rangers to Tucker Park on Saturday 12th November for a 2.15pm kick-off. Fresh from a very positive 4-1 result last week against Highworth Town Res, the Don will be looking for some consistancy to back up that performance. The teams have already meet in the league this season, when Moreton ran out 3-1 winners. Moreton currently sit 2nd in the league with 6 wins from their 9 games. Lee Brooks looks like a striker in form with 14 goals from 10 starts. Rangers have been on their travels recently, this match will be their sixth away match in a row! Their last was at Shrivenham Res, where they left with 5-1 victory.

The Reserves are back in league action this week and travel to play Steventon in NBFL Div 2. Steventon sit second in the league with 5 wins from 6 games. Top scorer John Green has 8 goals from his 6 starts. The Ressers have found goals hard to come by this season, with only Jamie Broadfield and Richard Evans finding the back of the net so far.

The A-Team are without a fixture again this week.

Faringdon Town FC – Player News

Peter Doolan & Ross Packham are now signed for both Hellenic and North Berks leagues. Benjamin Hunt, Jack Yeates and Frankie Goodwin are now registered to play in the NBFL.

Sadly 2 players have decided to leave FTFC this week, with Ryan Bradbury and Chris (Sidders) Kershaw, both requesting transfers and joining Stanford ITV. We thank them for their hard work and wish them all the best for the rest of the season.
