A midweek cup game away at Thatcham town for us this week. We seemed in good spirits and keen to get stuck in. We started well, looked sharp and organised but knew we were playing a good young, fit side. In the first ten minutes Thatcham started to get on the ball more than us and created their first chance, a ball slipped through for the striker, he rounded the keeper but his shot was saved comfortably off the line by Will Oglesby.

Town Vets were back in action on Wednesday and were looking to get their season back on track after a disappointing defeat on the road to Chinnor A two weeks ago. The visitors to the Cinder Lane Stadium on a warm autumnal evening were the newly formed Abingdon Town Vets, who had moved across from last seasons runners-up, Oxford City.
