Town 1 - Clanfield 2

Town played host to Hellenic Division One neighbours Clanfield on Tuesday evening in what was a hard fought encounter. The visitors took the lead on 13 minutes from the penalty spot after John Lovegrove brought down the attacker in the area. Soon after Town had a good shout for a spot kick themselves but their request was turned down by the official. Just after the half hour and the scores were level when Adam Sly found himself on the edge of the box and with a turn and shot, he found the far bottom corner of the net. The second period saw Clanfield dominate, but Town looked dangerous on the attack, however Clanfield scored what turned out to be the winner on 71 minutes when they broke the Town backline to slot home past sub keeper Paul Hume.

Next up is Carterton on Sunday at Clanfield FC in the Jim Newman Memorial Cup, it's a 1pm kick off, so everyone's support would be appreciated.
