1st Team v Saxton Rovers - 1/4 Final Charity Shield - Home 2.30 ko - Meet 1.30 changing room Holders and Division 1 leaders, Saxton Rovers are the visitors to Tucker Park in the quarter final of the Charity Shield this weekend. Rovers are on a good run of form of late, with a 100% league record and still in the North Berks Cup. They have had only two defeats all season and they have come at the hands of The Don. Firstly in the inaugral Centenary Cup Final 2-1 and then in the 3rd round of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup 4-3 AET. So they will be looking for revenge and with Town's current run of four defeats, they are big favourites. Town put in an improved performance at Wokingham & Emmbrook last week and will be looking to spring a surprise on the visitors. The winners will face either Botley Utd or Long Wittenham in the semi final. Town's squad new is that Martin Francis (Family commitments), Paul Hulme (Injured) and Greg Higgs (Cup-tied) are missing but Steve Aley and Chris Benson are available. Res v Benson Lions Res - 1/4 Final Kingham Cup - Away 2.30 ko - Meet 1.00 Travis Perkins The Reserves make their first of two consecutive trips to the air force base at Benson to face the Lions. First up is their Division 5 Reserve side in the quarter final of the AG Kingham Cup and next week it's league action against their 1st team. The hosts will be looking to upset Division 3 leaders Town after defeating Division 2 side Lambourn Sports Res. in the last round. The winners will face Benson AFC Reserves in the semi final. Town have Brian Ferris and Rich Evans from last weeks 1st Team bench, which new signing Tom Dyer is included along with Liam Humphreys, who is completing his comeback from knee surgery. Mike Marsh (Work) and Ross Edwards (Holiday) are both unavailable. Squad: M Kelly, G Townsend, S Pugh, L Ruddle, M Wells, M Hickson, B Spencer, J Tyler, R Evans, B Ferris, C Kershaw, L Humphreys, T Dyer A Team v Appleton Stars - Division 4 - Home 2.30 ko - Meet 1.45 changing room The A's welcome Division 4 whipping boys Appleton Stars to The Don in a Division 4 fixture which they hope will see them push on for the promotion places with only 6 league fixtures remaining. Credit to the Appleton players who have lost all thirteen league fixture so far in their first season of NBFL football, but they put on a fixture every week. So far they have conceded 132 goals and scored only 11, with league leaders Stanford ITV scoring 16 without reply last weekend. Leading scorer Matty Curtis and experienced Lee Moss are included after injury.
