It had to happen at some point!!!!! The 1st Team lost their first match of the season today with a 2-1 defeat to AFC Wallingford in the 2nd Round of the North Berks Cup. Town took the lead through an own goal but within 60 minutes they were behind and despite hitting the bar and missing a number of late chances, the performance just wasn't of the required standard.

The Reserves faced higher league Saxton Rovers Reserves in the Nairne Paul Trophy and were unlucky to lose 2-1 despite the visitors having a couple of 1st Team players. Brian Ferris scored the opening tie of the match but Rovers grabbed the lead and held on despite late Town pressure.

 The A's fixture against local side Coleshill Utd Reserves was cancelled due to the visitors failing to raise a side!
