In a fixture full of excitement, they managed to grab a 5-4 victory which see’s them tied with Abingdon Youth on 40 points at the top of the league table. As yet, no information has been confirmed if a play off will be necessary or the side has to settle for runners up. However, it’s still a great achievement and another consecutive promotion.
The under 15’s knew they needed just a single point at home to mid-table Crowmarsh Youth Tigers on Sunday afternoon, after receiving three points for the recent cancelled Summertown Stars fixtures. Carl Allum’s lads went one better and won the league in style with an 8-1 home victory to win the league by three points and promotion to the B League for next season.
Also on Sunday afternoon, the under 16’s were also hoping to gain promotion, knowing they had to at least match the result of Highfield Colts, who they were locked on 29 points with, prior to kick off.
