Old foes, Town Vets and Witney Royals come face to face for the second time in four weeks at the Cinder Lane Stadium on Wednesday night, as the two sides clash in the Hellenic Vets Premier Division.
Apologies for recent weeks match reports, the game against Brimscombe was abandoned after 60 minutes due to a real bad injury to Elliott Day. The next game was a cup game away to Wantage where Town was the better side for first 30 minutes but came out the game losing 5-0. Last week Town’s game was called off due to Abingdon Town not being able to field a team.

Town made the cross-country trek to Hook Norton to face the current bottom of the table side Old Hooky Vets in the Hellenic Premier Division. The squad was stretched to it’s maximum due to a large number of injuries, work and general unavailability. However, the squad which travelled was good enough to put the effort in and come away with a positive result.
Following our three cup fixtures, the Vets are back to the league campaign hoping to maintain pressure on the leading pack. The opposition on Wednesday night are current league title holders, Old Hooky Vets and Town make the journey across Oxfordshire to The Bourne, Hook Norton for a 7.45pm kickoff.
